Role

The Durable Solutions Associate contributes to the implementation of a durable solutions strategy, working closely with protection, programme and field staff. The role fosters partnerships and strengthens the involvement of refugee communities and their hosts in designing and implementing solutions strategies.

Key Duties

• Provide counselling to refugees and persons of concern to identify the most appropriate durable solution
• Interview candidates for voluntary repatriation and prepare documentation per SOPs
• Interview and prepare Resettlement Referral Forms (RRF) per Resettlement SOPs
• Interview candidates for local integration and prepare appropriate documentation
• Update electronic databases for resettlement, voluntary repatriation and local integration
• Process documentation to ensure persons of concern receive required documents timely
• Prepare statistical and ad-hoc reports for relevant offices and partners
• Draft and submit reports relating to durable solutions
• Support identification and management of risks impacting objectives

Qualifications

• For G6: 3 years relevant experience with High School Diploma; or 2 years relevant work experience with Bachelor's degree or equivalent or higher
• HCR Protection Induction Programme
• Database management and Microsoft Office skills
• Knowledge of English and UN working language of the duty station
