ICT Officer

Job Details

The ICT Officer manages the organization's information technology systems and provides technical support at Holy Innocents Children's Hospital in Mbarara City, Uganda. This is a full-time position based in Mbarara City. Working hours are 8 hours per day. Salary is not disclosed.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage the organization's network, servers, computers, and related equipment.
• Administer the Hospital Management Information System and other software applications.
• Provide first-line technical support to staff, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect organizational data and systems.
• Ensure regular data backups and implement disaster recovery procedures.
• Train staff on the use of software applications, IT systems, and security protocols.
• Maintain and repair computer hardware and peripherals.
• Install and configure software applications and operating systems.
• Implement and enforce ICT policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with external IT vendors and service providers as needed.

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of network, server and systems administration.
• Experience with Hospital Management Information Systems is an added advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting, cybersecurity and data backup skills.
• Ability to train users and enforce ICT policies.
