Job Details
Makerere University invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry. The role is a permanent appointment based at the main campus in Kampala and reports to the Head of Department. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, research, student supervision, mentorship and resource mobilization within the department.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach, examine and grade students
- Supervise research for students
- Mentor junior staff
- Conduct research and community outreach activities
- Write proposals for attracting funding to the department
- Perform any other official duties as assigned by the Head of Department
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements
- PhD in Chemical Engineering or PhD in Industrial Chemistry
- Masters degree in Chemical Engineering or Masters in Industrial Chemistry
- An honors Bachelors degree in Industrial Chemistry or BSc. Chemical Engineering
