C-Care Uganda (C-Care IHK) is seeking a Pharmacy Stock Controller based at IHK, Kampala District, Uganda. The role is responsible for end-to-end pharmacy inventory control — maintaining optimal stock levels to prevent stock-outs and overstocking, raising purchase requisitions, receiving and verifying supplies, coordinating stock transfers, organizing storage, maintaining accurate inventory records in the system, and ensuring compliant, timely issuance and billing of stock items to patients. The position ensures compliance with hospital policies, quality standards, and audit requirements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain optimal stock levels to prevent stock-outs and overstocking.
• Raise purchase requisitions, receive supplies, and coordinate stock transfers.
• Verify deliveries for quantity, quality, completeness, and expiry, and prepare Goods Received Notes (GRNs).
• Organize and store inventory using FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and FEFO (First-Expiry, First-Out) principles while maintaining clean and secure storage areas.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and update all stock transactions in the system.
• Conduct routine stock counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
• Ensure timely and accurate issuance and billing of stock items to patients.
• Monitor expiry dates and process returns of discontinued or expired stock with proper documentation.
• Prepare inventory reports and ensure compliance with hospital policies, quality standards, and audit requirements.

Qualifications, Skills and Requirements

• Certificate of training as a Pharmacy Assistant (required).
• Previous experience in stock management, preferably in the healthcare industry.
• Knowledge of inventory control principles (FIFO/FEFO), stock reconciliation and expiry management.
• Experience with inventory management systems and Goods Received Notes (GRNs) documentation.
• Accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to maintain clean, secure storage areas.
• Compliance with hospital policies, quality standards and audit requirements.
