Uganda Martyrs' Hospital (UMH) Diocese of Jinja is seeking a qualified Radiographer (1 Position) to perform diagnostic imaging examinations safely and accurately to support diagnosis and treatment. This is a Full-time position based in Jinja, Uganda.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive and prepare patients for radiographic examinations.
- Verify patient identity and examination requests.
- Perform radiographic procedures according to approved protocols.
- Position patients correctly and safely.
- Operate radiographic and imaging equipment.
- Apply appropriate radiation protection measures for patients, staff and self.
- Assess image quality and repeat examinations only when clinically justified.
- Maintain accurate imaging records and ensure appropriate handling and storage of imaging records.
- Ensure equipment is clean, safe, and properly maintained.
- Report equipment faults promptly.
- Maintain patient privacy and dignity at all times.
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements
- Recognised qualification in Radiography / Medical Imaging - Degree or Diploma in Medical Diagnostic Radiography.
- Registration with the relevant professional regulatory body.
- Valid practising licence.
- Relevant clinical experience is desirable (minimum 12 months experience indicated).
- Knowledge of approved radiographic protocols and radiation protection measures.
- Skills in operating radiographic and imaging equipment and assessing image quality.
- Ability to position patients safely and maintain accurate records.
- Commitment to patient privacy, dignity, infection prevention and control.
- Ability to maintain equipment and report faults promptly.
- Level of Education: Bachelor Degree / Diploma as stated.
